Anderson Dairy Ranch

Near Whitewood/Spearfish, South Dakota, the project was one of the highlights of Lyle’s historic experience and included the completion of a National Historic Landmark Condition Assessment Report for the Anderson Dairy Ranch.  This National Historic Landmark, one of only a handful in the entire region, gave Lyle the opportunity and experience of orchestrating a team of architects and engineers to compile and in-depth study and subsequent report on the existing condition of the site and several historic barn and ranch structures, along with recommendations for repairs and a cost estimate for each recommendation.  The project gave Lyle intimate experience with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, the guide by which all National Historic Landmarks and State tax incentive programs are governed.  The recommendations from this study are currently being implemented on the ranch to preserve it for future generations.
